Invoice Payments

*Consultation fee is for a flat fee that includes document review, in-person meeting, phone meeting, and virtual meeting. If your consultation exceeds one (1) hour (including document review and in-person discussions), then you will be responsible for additional billing on a prorated basis of $225.00 per hour (i.e., (20 minutes/60 minutes) x $225.00/hour = $75.00). The Firm is adept at document review to make the consultation more meaningful. Please plan accordingly for time purposes.

This payment option is solely for clients to make payments regarding:

(1) hourly billing invoices for work already performed and earned by the Firm;

(2) flat fee contract payments (usually for limited scope of representation);

(3) monthly payment plan under a flat fee contract; or,

(4) legal consultation fees.

DISCLAIMERS:

A 3% convenience fee applies to all payments by credit card, debit card, or EFT. This online payment processing option is an added convenience for prospective clients and clients alike to accept major credit cards.

If you are the Firm’s Client, or a third-party paying on the behalf of the Firm’s client, then you hereby consent to and authorize payment on your credit card for legal services rendered by the Firm to the Firm’s client.

*Please note that all funds from this payment processing option are deposited into the Firm’s operating account. Pursuant to the South Carolina Rules of Professional Conduct, the Firm may not receive funds intended for the Firm’s Trust Account through this online payment option. All payments received intended for a trust account will be reversed. Incorrect use of this payment option my render the Client responsible for additional fees including, but not limited to, late fees, charge-back fees, and processing fees.

All payments to the Firm’s trust accounts are handled individually and separately from this online payment processing option directly from LawPay. Please discuss credit card processing for trust accounts directly with the Firm to set up individual payment processing for trust accounts handled separately through LawPay including certain circumstances, but not limited to, the following:

  • Clients who have hired the Firm on retainer for ongoing legal representation regarding a deposit of funds for a retainer held in a trust account designated specifically for that client until earned by the Firm is handled separately from this online payment processing option.

  • Payments for settlement proceeds to the Firm’s Client deposited into the Firm’s trust account for the Firm’s Client are handled separately from this online payment processing option.

  • Payments for jury awards to the Firm’s Client deposited into the Firm’s trust account are handled separately from this online payment processing option.
